GoPro Parajet Maverick Frame Mount – The Project That Almost Took Off
Share
I designed a custom GoPro mount for the Parajet Maverick, attaching directly to the down bars at the center of the frame. The bracket clamped securely on either side using anti-vibration nuts to prevent it from working loose due to engine vibration.
After several design iterations, the mount performed great — stable, clean footage, and no issues in testing.
But one concern lingered: safety. I couldn’t ignore the risk of the camera interfering with the wing, especially during takeoff or in flight. Even if it was unlikely, it was enough for me to call it.
So, I shelved the project. No release — just solid lessons and some epic footage. Not every idea is meant to fly.
